I have a new puppy ...

I am sure this will become part of the nanowrimo "novel" experience ... but until it does ... we are fostering our very favourite dog ... Remi ... until after Christmas when we will all take a second look at the situation. Remi reacted to Lucas's tugging and pullling by biting him on the forehead. Remi has always loved his baby. Today he got fed up with the roughness. I said we would keep him till after Christmas when we would all take a second look at the situation.

I really don't want a second dog.

But Kenya loves Remi ... and so do I.

I don't think he is vicious ... in fact I know he isn't .... but I can't afford the grooming and vet care for a second dog. However ... they need a break from the situation ... and I may be able to find someone who will take him as his forever dog ... and even if he can't .. Kenya and I will figure something out.

And i know you will all help us do so.

Is Remi the Golden Doodle mentioned on your sidebar?

Poor Lucas! Poor Remi! It's going to be a couple of years before they can be left alone together. Sam is at the age I need to watch most carefully at 2 he's so used to her he thinks she should play just like him including jumping on her, getting right in her face - and you know how bombproof Mica is. I don't ever let them be alone.

If we knew we had the new house I'd bring him home with us!

Yes, Sassy ... that's Remi in the the sidebar ...

And yes, Kerry ... I agree ... I think Sarah put so much trust in Remi because he is so very good ... but Lucas is awfully rough with him and Remi likely did the only thing he could think of ... he is sweet but he is a dog ... and not necessarily the smartest dog in the pack!

The last time they were here I watched Kenya like a hawk because those little fingers just loved hair and whiskers and ears.

Remi arrived this evening ... I think it will more than likely be a temporary arrangement. They need some time to figure out how they will handle this ... and blame themselves more than Remi.

It will be a nice vacation for both Kenya and Remi.
